Discover Historic Planes At Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is one of Hawaii's most distinctive museums, with a long and rich history that brings visitors from all over the world. On Ford Island, the museum has spectacular scenery of the Pacific Ocean. The museum has approximately 50 remarkable and historic aircraft as well as an extensive collection of aviation artifacts in two hangars that survived the tragic Pearl Harbor assault on 7th December 1941.
It's a great place for the whole family for a fun educational experience. The museum provides free admission for under 4-years old kid and even let kids take part in interactive exhibits like combat flight simulator if they want an adventure. This fun place offers something new every time we come here which makes it hard to decide what our favourite part. In addition to exciting exhibits, the museum has a gift shop, a sit-down café, as well as a movie theatre.
Things to explore at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
Hangar 37 is where you will truly discover America's participation in World War II. The display takes visitors on a journey through time, beginning with a hallway depicting life on the islands before to the war and ending with an exhibit of one of the planes that flew above on the day of the assault. With maps and other artifacts from that fateful day, you can unearth the whole tale of 1941.
Hangar 79, the second indoor showroom, is home to a variety of vintage aircraft. Rotating exhibitions, antique aircraft, and artifacts devoted to the history of American aviation may be found here.
Make a point of seeing the Fighter Ace 360 Flight Simulators situated in Hangar 37 before leaving the museum. These two simulators include 360-degree motion, allowing you to feel what it would have been like to fly one of these aircraft firsthand. Take charge of the controls and do flips, spins, rolls, and loops like you would in a combat aircraft. You may pay for these simulators on-site or get a voucher for a free simulator flight from the museum's website prior to your visit.
