Some considerations must be made before visiting Waimea Waterfall. It is recommended that you carry insect repellent with you because bugs are prevalent in and near the fall. Additionally, the staff at this nature preserve works tirelessly to ensure that the stream water is clear of harmful germs. However, the bacteria is not that big of a threat to people, but make sure not to drink any water or play in it with any open cuts or wounds.
