Dole Plantation Oahu Pineapple Plantation - Good Place To Relax and Refresh

Opened to the public as Hawaii's "Pineapple Experience" in 1989, Dole Plantation is one of Oahu's top attractions. More than 1.7 million visitors come to Dole Plantation each year for the Pineapple Express Train Tour, the Plantation Garden Tour and the Pineapple Garden Maze.

Exploring the Plantation

There are many ways to explore the Dole Plantation. Some kids love to ride the train, which has audio guides about pineapple farming and agriculture. Some people want to experience the world's largest maze, and others can enjoy the Orchard Tour, a self-guided tour that offers tourists the chance to see, smell, and touch the backgrounds. Various cultures are grown on the island of Oahu.

Pineapple Express Train Tour

The whole family will enjoy the narrated two-mile ride through the fields by train. Visitors will learn stories about pineapples and other cultures such as bananas, star fruit and sugarcane as they travel through the dramatic landscapes of the island's north coast. Enjoy this tour with a delicious slice of pineapple!

Dole Plantation Tour

Dole Plantation is where visitors can see the vibrant colors of ripe fruit, smell the sweet pineapple and fresh coffee, and touch the different crops grown on the North Shore by Oahu. Walking through eight small gardens, visitors will have the opportunity to understand Hawaii's diverse farming and agricultural history.

Dole Plantation Maze

See if you can solve the biggest maze in the world. In 2008, Guinness World Records named the Pineapple Garden Maze as the largest maze in the world. Enjoy 14,000 colorful Hawaiian trees while searching for directional clues in this maze. The fastest finisher even wins a prize and gets his name written on a sign at the entrance to the maze.

Dole Plantation Store

Before you leave the plantation, be sure to shop at the country store. Visitors can find hundreds of pineapples and unique Hawaiian products here. Don't forget to bring home freshly picked pineapples. There's nothing better than this!
