A Vintage Experience At Queen Emma Summer Palace
The Queen Emma Summer Palace, also known as Hanaiakamalama, served as the summer residence of Queen Emma of Hawaii from 1857 until 1885. The Daughters of Hawaii have maintained the Queen Emma Summer Palace, which was listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, as a historic monument, museum, and tourist attraction for future generations.
The museum, which is less than 10 minutes from downtown Honolulu, is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. The money collected from admission fees and sales in the gift shop is used to support the preservation of this important monument.
